MINUTES OF THE ACCESS PERRY COUNTY BOARD MEETING
Thursday, May 22, 1997 at 4:30 p.m.
Tell City Library, Tell City, Indiana
The meeting was called to order at approximately 5:10 p.m. by President Kevin Hunter. Those Board Members present included:

Kathy Pohl Gerber made a motion to approve the agenda with the ommission of the election of officers. John Spencer seconded, motion carried.
Treasurer Joyce Lane requested approval of 3 claims. They were from Greenwell Chisolm for the brochures, Landmark Communications for a Showcase ad, and Lauren Gottlieb for services performed. Motion to approve the claims was made by Kathy Pohl Gerber, seconded by John Spencer, motion was carried. Joyce stated this would leave a balance of $574.00 until we receive another quarterly allotment July 1st.
Lauren Gottlieb reported a problem with Perry Spencer Communications. World Connection Services, the company supplying the calendar, told Lauren to add 5 lines of code to our domain registration so our name would appear on the calendar. Perry Spencer refused to do so. Lauren and World Connection Services also found out that Perry-Spencer owns our domain name (www.perryco.org). Lauren found out that www.perrycountyin.org was available and got it for a fee of $100.00 for 2 years. John Spencer made the motion to approve the expense, Francie seconded and the motion was carried.
Perry-Spencer Communications wants to meet with our board. Our contract with them expired in May. A committee consisting of Debby Beavin, Francie Wagner and John Spencer was appointed to meet with them.
Kathy Pohl Gerber distributed a proposed fee structure for Access Perry County developed by the marketing committee (Kathy, Debby, and Debbie). John Spencer made a motion to approve the following structure. Joyce Lane seconded and the motion was carried.
Membership: $25.00 / year per family
Membership: $20.00 / year per individual

- Participation rights on task forces, study groups, and committees
- Discounts on seminars, training, classified ads, & resumes on-line.
- Free listing of your e-mail address
- Voting privileges

A motion was made by Francie Wagner to approve the by-laws with one change. Article III, Section 6 will state that the regular meetings will be held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. Judy Howe seconded and the motion was carried. The meeting date change is due to the Cannelton Library Board meeting on the same evening as APC which makes payment of all claims submitted to them delayed a month.
Logo Contest was discussed with no action taken.
No report from the budget committee
John Spencer made the motion to pay our ICNA dues of $500.00, Francie Wagner seconded and the motion was carried.
Election of officers will be postponed until the June meeting due to board members not being notified of the May meeting. A letter will be sent to each organization with a board appointment asking for a nomination noting the current nominees willingness to continue.
Motion was made by Kathy Pohl Gerber to adjourn. Joyce
seconded, motion carried.
