Meeting Minutes
March 20, 2003Responding via Email: Joan Gobel, Nancy Cassidy, Betty Cash (Betty is preparing for back surgery in April and will keep in contact via Emil. She says that Troy has a celebration coming up and will keep us posted.)
NEW BUSINESS
A. Discussion on site changes.
All present agreed that the calendar would be better updated at the chamber. We may still have a link to it, but would not maintain it. We agreed that our site reflects all businesses and clubs, whether they members of the chamber or not. But we understand the chamberšs need to list their members on their site. The Human Society link will be taken off of our site. Currently someone can not get an animal from the organization. Judy is checking out the government link to see if it is back on the Newsš site. If not, we will get psci to set up a page that we can maintain online and update of government officials and their e-mails and or office phone numbers.
The chamber is celebrating its 100 anniversary and we will have a banner stating that. With that celebration there will be a traveling display. The dates of where that display will be located will also be on our site.
Peoplešs Bankšs new 12th and 37 location will be added to the mall/business area.
As far as other site changes, those will be determined when the chamberšs site gets up and running.
B. Dogwood Festival page.In the past we have had a banner directing people to the community calendar for events. The CVB usually has a page that is similar to our Schweitzer Fest page and we will have a link to that when the brochure is available.
OLD BUSINESS
DISCUSSION:
WebTrend report for February was shared. We will use the webtrend reportto determine changes to be made in conjunction with the chamberšs site.We discussed possibly hiring someone to go through all of the business/mall for accuracy.
