January 26, 2000 7:00 pmThe meeting was called to order by President Francie Wagner. Members present were: Francie Wagner, Mary Ann Wheatley, Sandy Henning, Judy Howe, Kathy Pohl, John Spencer, Dick Haywood, and Betty Cash. A motion was made by Mary Ann Wheatley, seconded by Kathy Pohl, to adopt the agenda, with the addition of discussion about the Dogwood brochure. Motion carried. A motion was made by Betty Cash, seconded by Kathy Pohl, to approve the
December minutes. Motion carried.Advertising in the Dogwood Festival brochure was discussed. It was decided not to advertise since we are linked to the CVB website and we will be promoting the Dogwood Festival on our website. Updating government officials on our website was discussed. As much as possible, we would like to include pictures, including photos of meetings. An updated list of government officials is available on the Perry County News website. Photos taken at the Schergens Center dedication were put on VHS tape and given to the city.
Our January balance is $11,090.53. Claims already approved and still outstanding are Village Profile, $345.00 for advertising, and the Chamber, $300.00 for two Community Calendar ads. A motion was made by Kathy Pohl, seconded by John Spencer, to pay these and a current claim for our monthly PSCI bill, $150.00. Motion carried. Dick Haywood submitted a claim for
camera reimbursement, including diskettes and bag, in the amount of $823.14. A motion was made by Sandy Henning, seconded by Mary Ann Wheatley, to pay this claim. Motion carried.Online access to our existing checking account was discussed. There were questions regarding signatures, passwords, and monthly fees. We will discuss this further at the next meeting. Ivy Tech has been contacted regarding their update. There will be no Showcase this year. It was noted that board member Joan Goble has been named Indiana Computer Teacher of the Year. We will feature this on our website and link to her website.
