The agenda was adopted with the following additions: approval of January bills, discussion of how to handle deposits from the Perry County News, and the resignation of John Spencer as treasurer. The December minutes were amended to state that bills should be sent to the treasurer, not to the Cannelton Library.Treasurer John Spencer reported a balance of $15,005.17. Pre-approved bills paid include PSCI monthly charge of $200.00; billboard charges of $157.50 for November (our half of January bill is being paid by PSCI); Chamber of Commerce calendar ads charge of $225.00. January claims approved include PSCI monthly charges of $205.00; December billboard charges of $157.50. It was noted that Doug Oleson has retired from the Cannelton Library; Sally Walker is the new Librarian. Also, our first payment from the Perry County News has been received and will be deposited in the APC Library Account. Opening a separate bank account was discussed; Kathy Gerber will check into our tax status before we do so. The board accepted John Spencer's resignation as treasurer. Randy Fischer made a motion to elect Dick Haywood treasurer; Kathy Gerber seconded. Motion carried.
Francie has been unable to contact Scott Fortwendel, who was appointed as the representative of Troy government our our board. Randy Fischer will try to contact him. In other old business, the purchase of a lap top computer and camera was discussed. It was decided to designate a committee, including Dick Haywood, Randy Fischer, and Sandy Henning, to investigate and purchase the equipment. A motion was made by John Spencer, seconded by Mary Ann Wheatley, to appropriate $4000.00 for these purchases. Motion carried.
New business included a discussion of the email vote to continue joint billboards with PSCI. The five months preferred by members are: June, July, September, November, and December; adding "live webcam from Schweizer Fest" to June and July advertising. Francie reported the number of hits to our homepage is down, but the number accessing through other sites is up, as well as the number of user sessions. We will ask PSCI to add a link to the General Assembly homepage and include an order form for the new Perry County history book, with a link to CVB. We will also ask for links to banks and realtors with web sites. A motion was made by John Spencer, seconded by Dale Sprinkle, to again share a booth with PSCI at Perry County Showcase this spring. Motion carried.
A motion to adjourn was made by Dick Haywood, seconded by Randy Fischer. Motion carried. The next meeting will be at Tell City Junior High on Thursday, February 18, 7:00 pm.
