The meeting was called to order by President Francie Wagner. Board members present were: Francie Wagner, Judy Howe, Kathy Pohl, and Nancy Cassidy. A motion was made by Kathy Pohl, seconded by Nancy Cassidy, to adopt the agenda and approve the minutes of the September meeting. Motion carried.Treasurer's report: We have a credit of $1,039.50 from PSCI; a balance of $2,962.51 in our checking account; $5,332.75 in CD#1; $2,600.15 in CD#2. Total funds: $11,934.91.
It was noted that we have five vacant board positions. Therefore, we will postpone election of officers until at least some of these positions are filled. Since government information is a unique feature of our site, Francie will add a list of local government offices with addresses and hours. We will also continue to include pictures of community events. Our Perry County News sponsorship ended in August and we will not seek new sponsorship, since it is not needed at the present time. No entries were received in our photo contest; therefore, we will discontinue this event for the present.
We discussed the possibility of meeting electronically. We will try this, beginning in January. We will hold an annual meeting in May and any special meetings, as needed.
Our Web Trends report showed spikes on September 8, 10, and 12, with an average 421 hits per day.
