MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF
ACCESS PERRY COUNTY

Access Perry County Board Meeting
December 17, 1998, 7:00 PM
Tell City Junior High

The meeting was called to order by President Francie Wagner. Those present were:   Francie Wagner, Dale Sprinkle, Dick Haywood, Sandy Henning, Joan Goble, Judy Howe, John Spencer, and Kathy Gerber.  Advertising in the Chamber of Commerce Community calendar was added to the agenda under New Business.  A motion was made by Dick Haywood and seconded by Joan Goble to approve the November minutes.  Motion carried.  Minutes of our meetings are now online.

Our November balance is $15,562.67.  Claims from November not yet paid include November and December billing from PSCI for $400.00 and November billboard bill for $157.50; December charges were waived by PSCI.  Joan Goble made a motion to pay these claims; Dale Sprinkle seconded.  Motion carried.  Our remaining balance will be $15,005.17.

Dick Haywood reported on research into the purchase of lap top and camera. Prices of equipment vary greatly.  Other topics discussed included whether to loan equipment to organizations and where to house it. It was decided to determine our needs first and continue research into pricing of various types of equipment. Improvements made to our website by PSCI have made the purchase of Front Page software unnecessary at this time.

Advertising in the Chamber of Commerce Community Calendar was discussed. The cost for a black-and-white ad featuring our logo would cost $75.00. A motion was made by Kathy Gerber, seconded by Joan Goble, to purchase an ad for three months, preferably April, July, and September, depending upon availability.  Motion carried.

It was noted that our January meeting date presented conflicts for several board members.  The meeting was re-scheduled to the fourth Thursday, January 28.   Since this date would be too late to approve claims for
January, Dick Haywood made a motion to approve in advance bills from the Chamber for advertising and the monthly bill from PSCI.  Kathy Gerber seconded the motion; motion carried.  Francie will mail the bills to the
library.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

Submitted by Judy Howe, Secretary.
