New Business:
After a bit of discussion, it was decided that the by-laws would be ammended in the following ways:
- The second sentence in Article 3, Section 2 will be changed to: The twelve
- (12) directors shall be represented if possible by the following sections..........
- We added a sentence to Article 3, Section4-- Absence from three (3)
- consecutive regular meetings, without an excuse deemed valid and so recorded
- by the Board of Directors, shall be construed as a resignation.
Joan Goble made the motion that these changes should take place in the by-laws, Kathy seconded the by law changes.
New vacancies on the board were discussed...we decided that we could all be thinking of great candidates...in the meantime ACP will go ahead and send out the yearly letters to all of the entities asking them to submit the name of the person they want to represent them...this will allow these entities a chance to fill any vacancy or renominate a current representative to the board. After we get responses from all (hopefully) we will see how many areas have vacancies...and then look at our list of candidates that we have come up with.
Kathy Gerber will be sending out the above mentioned letters to all of the entities.
A motion was made by Joan Goble to go ahead and have PSCI design around 20 different backgrounds for our ACP site...such as seasonal ones (dogwood background...etc.). The total cost will be $120.00, at $40.00 an hour for three hours. This motion was seconded by Judy. We discussed putting the Dogwood festival information on our front page.
In discussion...we thought it would be a good idea to start our own email list of people interested in our site..using the return email addresses of people who email ACP or use the forum (Town Hall), etc. This was discussed with Dave Buse in a meeting with Kathy and John.
The Perry County Showcase (April 4-5, at the National Guard Armory) work schedule was discussed. Kathy Gerber brought the schedule asked for ACP members to contact her; we need all ACP board members to work at our booth, if possible, these two days.
The schedule is such:
- Sat. April 4, the booth is open from 9:30 to 5pm...
- Sun. April 5, the booth is open from 12:00 to 4:30pm.
Kathy and John will set up the booth on Friday evening, April 3. Please contact Kathy to tell her when you will be available to work the booth. Again...we need help from every ACP board member. Kathy made a motion to run an ad in the Perry County Newspaper to advertise our showcase. This was seconded by Joan Goble and the motion carried. It was agreed that all bills pertaining to ACP should be forwarded to
Francie Wagner until a new Treasurer can be appointed. A few items about our site were discussed...such as the Town Hall being revamped and in great working order, and the Calendar events until May are now on database style and working fiine.

Old Business:
- There were no new additions presented at the meeting from the subcommittees for any new content for the site.
- Without Gary present...we could not discuss the new proposed flyer on ACP.
- Francie reported that Gary had told her that it is almost done.
- The clubs and organization seciton of our site needs updating and it was decided that as soon as possible...we will contact PSCI about getting some training on Microsoft Frontpage...(Joan has this and will allow the board to use it). Judy H. will check to see if we could put the Microsoft Frontpage onto one of the TC Library computers in order to do any updates we need to do...we will have more information on this soon.
- The next ACP meeting - April 16, 1998 at 7:00pm -to be held at the TCJr.
- High School Library.
With no further business to discuss...the meeting was adjourned.
