Access Perry County Board Meeting
April 15, 1999, 7:00 pm
Tell City Junior High
The meeting was called to order by President Francie Wagner. Members present were: Francie Wagner, Joan Goble, Mary Ann Wheatley, Dick Haywood, Sandy Henning, Kathy Gerber, and Judy Howe. The agenda was adopted and minutes of the March meeting were approved; motion was made by Kathy Gerber, seconded by Mary Ann Wheatley; motion carried.Treasurer's report:
February balance was $14,328.86. March claims remaining to be paid include: PSCI (2 months) $400.00; lap top computer, $3,317.00; Secretary of State, $10.00 (paid by Kathy Gerber); billboard, $157.50. Remaining balance will be approximately $10,000. March payment from the Perry County News has been received.Cost of joint billboard with PSCI has been increased to $395.00 each for 3 months. Our new Micron lap top computer, along with a web cam, was used to display our website at Showcase. Dick Haywood is checking into compatibility of cameras for purchase. A Web cam "splash" for Schweizer Fest has been ordered; ideas for its design and slogan were discussed.
John Werner has examined our records and prepared documents for our registration with the State of Indiana, which has been submitted, along with the $10.00 fee. We will now ask Mike Elaman to examine financial records to determine our tax status. A motion was made by Kathy Gerber, seconded by Mary Ann Wheatley, to establish our own bank account, separate
from Cannelton Library, in order to be able to make more timely payments; checks are to be signed by the treasurer and one other board member. Motion carried.
We will be posting the May 4 election results on our website. The Perry County Clerk will refer media to our site. Feedback from our website has included requests for articles from the Perry County News.
