MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF
ACCESS PERRY COUNTY

Access Perry County Board Meeting
July 15, 1999, 7:00 pm
Tell City Public Library

The meeting was called to order by President Francie Wagner.  Members present were:  Francie Wagner, Joan Goble, Judy Howe, Kathy Gerber, Sandy Henning, and Mary Ann Wheatley.  A motion was made by Mary Ann Wheatley, seconded by Kathy Gerber, to adopt the agenda and approve the May minutes. Motion carried.  There were no June minutes, since a quorum was not
present and a discussion only was held.

Outstanding bills already approved include:  PSCI, $400.00 for June and July and $65.00 for Schweizer Fest poster ; Perry County Chamber, $75.00 and $50.00 for our share of Showcase booth and sign fee.  June claims include:  Kathy Gerber, $5.94 postage reimbursement; PSCI for $197.50 billboard cost; Dick Haywood, reimbursement for camera purchase, when bill is submitted.  A motion was made by Kathy Gerber, seconded by Joan Goble, to pay these claims.  Motion carried.

We now have a post office box in Tell City; the address is P.O. Box 361. Letters were sent out to appointing authorities for board appointments or renewals.  Several renewals have been received.  Troy Government has appointed Betty Lynn Cash as their representative.  A motion was made by Sandy Henning, seconded by Joan Goble, to approve this appointment. Motion carried.  Updating the by-laws to provide for 1/3 of the appointments to expire annually was discussed.  A motion was made by Kathy Gerber, seconded by Mary Ann Wheatley, to approve this change.  Motion carried.  Names of appointing authorities were drawn at random to determine the cycle.  The following five(5) will be three-year terms:  Mayor, County Government, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Tell City-Troy Twp. Schools, and Local Media.  The following four(4) will be two-year terms:  Perry Central, Tell City and Cannelton Libraries, and Troy Government.  The following four(4) will be one-year terms:  Business, Chamber of Commerce, Cannelton Schools, and Cannelton Government.

Plans for coverage of Schweizer Fest are on schedule.  We expect this year's webcam image to be better, although we are using the same software. Backgrounds for our website were discussed; we would like to use the William Tell statue and other Perry County scenes.  We also have a new
calendar format for our site.

Dick Haywood is now our representative to ICNA.  Our checking account has not yet been opened; Randy Fischer will provide information about our options.  Members were asked to gather any information on changes in organizations and businesses listed on our website so that these can be kept up to date.  Feedback has been received asking the publication date on the Perry County history book; it is expected to be published by the end of this year.  Providing progress reports on the construction of the Schergens Community Center was discussed for our website.  Pictures will be taken at different stages of construction and the architect will supply a schedule. Francie is also preparing a month-by-month schedule of tasks.  It was announced that the annual Tourism dinner will be held September 16 and we will meet there prior to the dinner.

Meeting was adjourned.  Next meeting will be August 19, 1999, 7:00 pm, at the Tell City Library.
