Access Perry County Board Meeting
September 17, 1998, 5:30 PM
Mulzer's Camp
The meeting was called to order by President Francie Wagner. Members present: Sandy Henning, Kathy Gerber, Dick Haywood, Mary Ann Wheatley, John Spencer, Joan Goble, Scott Fortwendel, Francie Wagner, Judy Howe, and Dale Sprinkle. A motion was made by Kathy Gerber, seconded by Mary Ann Wheatley, to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
Kathy Gerber made a motion to approve the August minutes; Mary Ann Wheatley seconded. Motion carried. Treasurer John Spencer reported a balance of $12,257.67. Two claims were presented for payment: the September billing from PSCI for $200.00, and a bill from the Chamber of Commerce for $45.00 for an ad for Fall Tour. Sandy Henning made a motion to pay this claim; Joan Goble seconded; motion carried. This will leave a balance of $12,057.67. Regarding the status of our grant, Francie has learned that there is no deadline on expenditure of our funds.
Scott Fortwendel has been nominated to represent Troy government on the APC board. Mary Ann Wheatley made a motion to approve his membership on the board; Dick Haywood seconded. Motion carried.
Ron Filkins was not present to give a report on a corporate support proposal. Members were asked to draft questions and email them to Francie to forward to Ron for inclusion in his report.
Business card holders were distributed to members who are placing the cards in locations discussed at the last meeting. Regarding Front Page Software, it was noted that Front Page 98 extensions are already on our website; user name and password are needed to update calendar, etc. Purchase of a laptop computer was discussed; members were uncertain about its capabilities for use with Internet and videocam. Dick Haywood will investigate further and report at next month's meeting. Judy Howe reported that the library disk space is adequate, with the recent acquisition of three new computers, should we decide to use their facilities.
