I have 2 Tell City Chairs/Pattern 4810 Mahgoney 27
I don't know if this will help anyone or not, but I found out that the Tell City Chair Co. actually went out of business in 1996. But found a website that sells the Tell City Furniture. Go to www.yankeepeddlermerc.com to see if they can help.
How did you ever make out finding your additional chairs or information on Tell City Chairs. I too have a model 4517 that is beautiful and I'm trying to find out more about it. Can you share any information you've come up with?
Thanks

I have two Tell City Chairs. They are Solid Maple with an Upholtered Removal Pillow for the back and a separate Removal Seat Pillow. The base of the chair contains a removeable webbing for installation in the hardwood frame.
Over the years these have stretched and I would like to replace them. They are installed in a web fashion similar to those used in outdoor furnishings. They look like a vinyl strapping with metal cleats that insert into the frame.
Can you advise if these are available, their cost, and any additional information you need to locate them.

If so, where on the stool would the pattern number be stamped. There are two different numbers stamped on mine.

Hi,
I have a table Tell City table Pattern #711 - Vintage finish. Anyone have an idea of value or other info? No chairs with it. Thinking about making a coffee table out of it.
Thanks,
Inherired from my grandmother,Small Mahogany chair pattern551 upholstry 156.When was it made?todays value?
The Tell City rocking chair I have was purchased in 1962 by my aunt Julie Berry in McKeesport, PA, as a wedding gift to me. My aunt said it was a "farm rocker."
There is only a small portion of the paper label remaining under the seat, and I believe the number is 6841. The last digit is somewhat compromised by a tear in the label, but "41" is stamped in another area.
My problem is that the right arm rest has broken in half a few inches below where your hand would normally rest (just as the wood enters the curl). All attempts to repair it have failed.
Do you have another right arm rest I might purchase? I adore the rocker, as I loved my aunt greatly. Thanks for your help.

I have 8 tell city chairs pattern 4517 Mahogany (has a harp on the back). Old chairs and harps are broken on two of them. They go with a Drexel Mahogany dining table (Federal style) brass covered claw and Drexel Mohogany side board. I'd like to have the chairs repaired. Any ideas on where to go.
Thank you Kathy

I've ventured onto a pair of Tell City Chairs at an Antique Market here in Cincinnati and was wondering if the $145.00 price for each was too high. As you can tell I'm a novice. Also, are they truly Tell City chairs? There's a sticker attachment on the bottom of the chair that states so. Thank you for your time.
